Application & Approval Process

At Black Tie Great Danes, we take great care in placing our puppies in homes that are well-prepared, responsible, and aligned with our standards of care. Our application process is designed to ensure the best possible match for both our puppies and their future families.

Prospective owners begin by submitting a detailed application. Once received, applications are reviewed within 3–5 business days. As part of our screening process, we conduct a veterinary reference check to verify the history and quality of care provided to current or past pets. Applicants who pass this stage are invited to participate in a 30-minute phone interview, allowing us to discuss expectations, lifestyle compatibility, and answer any questions.

We also perform a Google Maps review of the address listed on the application to confirm that the environment is appropriate for raising a giant breed dog.

Upon approval, applicants will receive a deposit contract. Once the contract is completed and the deposit is submitted, the applicant is officially added to the selected litter’s waitlist. This structured process helps us maintain the integrity of our program and ensures our puppies are placed in committed, well-suited homes.
